Nefertarius was founded on Bruton Street for clients who wanted expertise without theatre — plain guidance on stones, honest pricing, and jewellery that still looks right in thirty years.
We are deliberately small. Six benches, one grading room, and a waiting list we would rather keep than shorten.
Heritage
Where the name comes from

The name
Nefertarius takes its root from Nefertari — “the most beautiful of them all”. It is a high bar to set yourself, and a useful one to be held to.

The tribute
Nefertari was a diplomat and a scholar before she was a queen, and Ramesses built her a temple rather than a monument to himself. We took the hint about who the work is for.

The promise
Pieces are made to be worn daily and repaired indefinitely. Bring anything of ours back to the bench, at any age, and it will be put right.
The process
Three stages, none of them hurried

Stone selection
Stones are chosen in the hand under daylight-balanced light, judged on light return before they are judged on paper.
- 02
Setting
Claws are cut to the individual stone rather than to a template, then closed, filed and burnished at the bench.
- 03
Final inspection
Every piece is checked twice under 10× magnification, twenty-four hours apart, before it is boxed.
